Detroit Country Day’s Field House is the largest classroom on campus. The 88,000-square-foot facility was completed in only seven months and was built for approximately 30% less than comparable facilities.
The challenge presented to TMP Architects and Cunningham-Limp was to completely refresh this aged junior school facility during the summer vacation period. In less than 90 days of demolition and construction, the team transformed this 38,000-square-foot structure, some portions of which date from the 1920s, into a bright, modern, climate controlled facility.
The Southwest Detroit Lighthouse Academy is just one example of Cunningham-Limps commitment to be an active partner in the revitalization of Detroit.
